I have used Google Books to search for books of interest to me and was surprised to actually find some that I could read online. I have added these to My Library.
Google Books are currently working with many libraries to include their collections in Google Books.
You can find a full list of their library partners on the Google Books Library Partner page. Libraries can create a link to a specific title or author in Google Books.
If the book is out of copyright, you are able to view and download the entire book. In all cases, you'll see links directing you to online bookstores where you can buy the book and libraries where you can borrow it.

Task 12 LibriVox
I have explored the LibriVox and discovered the recording for "Pride and Prejudice", had a listen to part of Chapter 1...would rather curl up with the paper version.
Task 13 del.icio.us
Mmmm..well I have explored del.icio.us and can see some use for it but Google would be just as easy in my opinion. I have set up an account and discovered that when you add a bookmark you can make up your own tags. I seem to have spent a lot of time and to no real advantage.

Task 18 iGoogle
Well, I have learnt that Paris is 8 hours behind Brisbane, and that the temperature is currently 60F. I can search the web, YouTube and more. I can sign up for Gmail, and check the news if I want.
Task 17 Google Maps & Google Docs
I have had fun with Google Maps, and visited places I have never actually been before. Iam now aware of Google Docs.
Task 15 what's in a Wiki
It was interesting to learn that Wiki means "quick" in Hawaiian. A wiki allows anyone the ability to take part in the creation and editing of web content. They are spaces for quick and easy collaborative work. At their best, they can become true community resources that can position the library as a an online hub of their local community.

Task 10 A thing about LibraryThing
LibraryThing is a free social cataloguing application that enables users to catalogue their favourite books, or the books they are currently reading for themselves, or to share with the world. I have had a look at LibraryThing and created an account. I have also added some great books to my catalogue.

Task 7 Comment on Blogs and Blogging!
I've had a look at other blogs and left comments on a couple. The unpossible librarian has a photo that appealed to the pirate in me!
Task 5 - Flicker

I have been to Yahoo, and set up an account. I have had an explore in Flicker, interesting, but not something I would personally use.
